Course Content

Part 1: Theory & Practice Phase

3 day course providing theoretical and hands-on learning and selecting patients

  • Team approach between the Dentist and the Denturist
  • Patient education and marketing
  • Selection and treatment planning for the complete and partial edentulous patient.
    Implant surgical techniques & protocols
    (Guided vs.Non-Guided)
  • LIVE PATIENT SURGERY – placement of 4-6 implants
    with ICAD technology
  • Hygiene and maintenance
  • Treatment planning & prosthetic options
    (2-Implants, Tri-pod, All on 4, Bar Retained, Partial
    Dentures, Fix Prosthesis, Mini Implants)
  • Hands-on model fabrication and working with impressions
  • Hands-on practice with kit components and loading
    techniques
  • 2 LIVE PROSTHETIC PATIENTS: Demonstration of implant level impression taking and
    loading dentures
  • Q & A

Part 2: Surgery Phase

This is an interactive session involving the viewing of a live surgery on your patient performed by Dr. Augimeri. At the end of the surgery the initial impressions and workup will be completed by you with the guidance of Dr. Augimeri. This will allow the successful fabrication of the patient's denture prior to Part 3. This session is most helpful due to the one on one time with Dr. Augimeri.

Part 3: Final Prosthetics Phase (2 day course)

  • Review surgical and technical aspects of Part 1 and Part 2 and taking into consideration any problems that may have arisen
  • Hands-on practice of loading techniques (locator, ball or bar retained)
  • Loading and completion of all candidates' patients, allowing all candidates the opportunity to view and assist on a variety of different cases. This enables the denturist to see problems which may arise and techniques to solve these issues.
